Code Along

Code Along and Code Along Junior are free, video-based coding academies by Black Girls CODE in partnership with GoldieBlox, designed to inspire interest in computer science and technology among Black girls, young women, and youth of all genders. Through fun, step-by-step tutorials, participants can create digital art, animations, games, songs, stories, AI chatbots, and even obstacle courses in Roblox. Each 15-minute-or-less episode builds tech skills and confidence while showcasing inspiring role models, including Googlers and girl bosses in fields like animation, NFTs, and gaming. Learn new skills, discover role models, and code along to build a brighter future!

Featured Episode: How to Code in Scratch 

In this Code Along Jr. episode, our awesome host, Kalani, introduces you to Scratch and teaches you how to create your own project from “scratch” 😉. She will teach you how to use the blocks palette to make your sprite move. She’ll also teach you how to change your sprite, add more actions to your sprite, and how to change your backdrop.
